Leading Company in Corporate Governance
The public disclosure of information on corporate governance is one of the key areas that ALAS20 evaluates, rates, and awards.
The importance of this category is that it allows us to learn about the company’s corporate governance practices, sharing with its stakeholders the background on how it is being managed and controlled, in favor of sustainable development.
THE CRITERIA FOR EVALUATING THE PUBLIC INFORMATION OF LEADING COMPANIES IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ARE:
Scope and Depth
The company´s public information should allow its stakeholders, and in particular the investors, to understand the meaning and value created by the adopted corporate governance policies and practices.
Relationship with Stakeholders
The company´s public information must demonstrate how the company transmits to its stakeholders, and in particular the investors, the adoption of the best practices of corporate governance, beyond legal and regulatory compliance.
Functionality
The company´s public information should allow its stakeholders, and in particular the investors, to measure the progress of corporate governance, and to make comparisons with the practices and policies adopted in previous years.
Empirical Evidence
The company´s public information must demonstrate its understanding of the benefits of transparency in the disclosure of corporate governance practices for its stakeholders, and in particular for the investing public, through evidence referring to the adoption of best practices in this matter.
Nominated companies in this category will participate in ALAS20´s Technical Evaluation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
