[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=»3/4″][vc_column_text]Carlos Loret de Mola is a mining geologist from University of Minnesota, with honorable mention (Cum Laude). He studied in the Masters of Conservation and Sustainable Development at Cayetano Heredia University and in Mining Engineering and Mining Economics at the University of Minnesota.
Carlos Loret de Mola has held positions in various national and international organizations, including the Presidency of the National Environmental Council (CONAM, the highest environmental authority I Peru at the time). Presidency of the Andes Association, Member of the Board of Directors of the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law SPDA), Member of the Advisory Committee for the energy planning process of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), Member of the Advisory Council of the Ministry of the Environment, Coordinator of the Peruvian initiative of biodiversity and company (BYE), Coordinator for positioning , fundraising and public relations of Interclima, Facilitator of High-Level Meetings of the Climate Change Planning Project (PlanCC), Director of the Andean Cusichaca Association; among others.
As a consultant, he has extensive experience in mining, environment, climate change management and coordination with municipal and regional authorities; as well as with representatives of indigenous communities and peoples from different regions, highlighting his conciliatory capacity among the parties involved, aware of the history, culture, diversity and idiosyncrasy of Latin American peoples.
Currently, Carlos Loret de Mola works in the Ministry of the Environment, where he works as Senior Management Advisor and Responsible for the Public Party Component of the COP 20 Project, assuming the challenge of bringing different stakeholders into the climate debate, leading the process of public consultation of national contributions through effective communication and full participation of representatives of organized civil society at a national level as non-state partners with the government, towards COP21.
